Aleenah with veil

Aleenah began dancing and studying music at the age of three. Her dance background includes ballet, Latin, and Argentine tango. After moving to the United States from Odessa, Ukraine, Aleenah focused on studying Middle Eastern dance.

As a bellydance instructor and performer, Aleenah creates a unique fusion of Turkish, Gypsy, Egyptian, Greek, and Tribal styles. Her original costume designs and artful interpretation of music contribute to creating exciting and unforgettable performances.

Aleenah teaches private and group classes, as well as seminars in bellydance at dance studios, fitness clubs, schools, and adult education centers in New England. Aleenah’s expertise allows her to adapt programs to the specific needs and goals of her students whether they are looking for fitness, stronger dance technique, choreography, improvisational skills, professional stage presence, or just dancing for fun.

Aleenah performs regularly at a wide variety of venues in Connecticut that have included Istanbul Café, Thali Indian Restaurant, Gotham Citi Café, Hyatt Regency Greenwich Hotel, Connecticut College, Caffe Bottega, Chips Greek Restaurant, Miller Library, Cedar Brook Café, Evergreen Woods Retirement Center, Playwright Restaurant, University of Hartford, Darbar Indian Restaurant, Villa Capri Banquet Hall, Adulis Cafe, Garde Arts Center, and Toad's Place among many others.
